Why hello there. Did you miss me? I honestly cannot believe I’ve gone an entire week without blogging at all. That just goes to show how busy I’ve been at work (and after work since I’m averaging 1.5 overtime hours each night). But never fear because I am back!
Isn’t it ironic that for my 100th post, the post I’ve been so excited to reach, the post that should’ve gone live last Friday, I dropped the ball? Ironic and sad. But that’s life, and I’m trying to give myself a break for letting real life get in the way of blog life. Since I’ve been M.I.A., I figured a “Currently” post was just what the doctor ordered!
I literally just started reading The Girl in the Road by Monica Byrne, which I received free of charge from NetGalley in exchange for my forthcoming review. I’m also planning to read “Much Ado About Nothing” by William Shakespeare to get a head start on Book Club this month! (Come read with me. You know you want to!)
I know I’m super late to the party, but I’ve been listening to Taylor Swift’s “1989” for days. When I saw a Target gift card in my Easter basket (thanks Mom and Dad), I knew exactly how I would spend it!
Current Guilty Pleasure:
Starburst jelly beans (Did I mention that the Easter Bunny was good to us this year?)
Current Nail Polish:
None! I’ve had a really pretty seafoam color on for a while, but when I finally took it off and saw how healthy my nails looked, I chose to forgo the nail polish for the time being.
An acai, pomegranate, and blueberry herbal tea that I picked up at Kroger last week
If I list more Easter basket goodies here, will you judge me?
Current Favorite Show:
Gilmore Girls – I’ve been catching up on old seasons via Netflix, and the nostalgia-inducing properties of this show are remarkable.
Current Wish List:
A really great formal dress for a work event that I have coming up in May
For the Braves to say “just kidding, guys” and take back all of our players…
I’ve been cutting back on caffeine lately, so a run-of-the-mill cup of coffee with a little cream and nutmeg is everything.
My co-workers – I’ve never been so stressed out by this job, but I am constantly blown away by the kindness of the people around me.
New patterned crop pants from Banana Republic, a red tank (in honor of Opening Day at Turner Field!), a white cardigan, and my lace TOMS
Still holding off to divulge all the news, but I promise to give you more details than you ever asked for soon!
