Hi! I’m Tyler
I started this blog back in 2014, a year of big life events that included graduating from college, moving to Cincinnati, getting my first “big girl” job, and marrying my high school sweetheart. Ever since, it’s been part creative outlet and part self-help manual where I wax poetic about the things that bring me joy: books, writing, living a conscious lifestyle, and so much more.
Now, for what you really want to know… I’m an ESFJ, a Libra, a Ravenclaw, and a Millennial. When I was a kid, I wanted to be an archaeologist, a bestselling author, and a famous actress when I grew up. I’m a word nerd and a recovering theatre kid.
Who is An Aspiring Heroine?
For starters, I am! She also might be your coworker who reads novels on her lunch break. Or your best friend who just started composting in her apartment. Who knows? You might even be one.
An Aspiring Heroine is anyone who’s had their Iris Simpkins moment (The Holiday, anyone?) and is ready to become the leading lady of their life. We strive to be the best versions of ourselves, whatever that means to each of us individually them. But we also recognize that the character arcs of the heroines that stuck with us—the ones who filled our hearts and inspired our own stories long after we’d finished their books—don’t take place over a day or even a month.
And that’s why we’re aspiring heroines. There’s always one more life lesson to learn, goal to accomplish, or book to read.
