Hello there, friends! I hope you haven’t fallen for any practical jokes yet on this lovely April Fools’ Day. Being the trusting (read: gullible) person that I am, I spend the whole day on my toes, trying to not make a fool of myself.
But we’re not here to talk about all the times I’ve been April fooled in my life, we’re here to share some goals! Since last month went so well, I thought why not keep the productivity going?
Recap: March Goals
– Reach 50 followers on Bloglovin’: Done and dusted! As of this morning, there are 57 lovely people following An Aspiring Heroine! Are you?
– Participate in a Twitter chat: I had the best time participating in #createlounge hosted by Kayla on Wednesday nights. I met awesome people and had a great conversation about networking online, which is not my forte. So I’ll see you there next week, right?
– Finish out the Holders Not Folders Instagram series: I learned so much from Elizabeth and Meg this month! Perspective, lighting, color – my Instagram game is on point right now! I also spent the month of March following along with Snap Conference’s Photo A Day series, so I think I can say that I fully utilized what is quickly becoming my favorite form of social media.
And now for some things to work on this month…
April Goals
– Focus more energy on my Facebook fan page: Being completely honest, I get lost with Facebook more often than not. “You can’t schedule posts through anything but Facebook because you won’t show up on your followers’ walls.” “If you don’t post at a certain time, your posts will get lost in the crowd.” “There’s really nothing you can do to get noticed on Facebook thanks to its new algorithms.” Popular opinion makes it sound like I’m fighting a losing battle, but I want to at least try!
– Comment on at least 1 blog each day: I don’t have a problem remembering to read all sorts of blogs, but it’s just not second nature yet for me to comment on the ones that I love. I don’t know why because I love getting comments (hint hint).
– Start putting together a media kit: I’ve Pinned and researched, and I think I’m finally ready to get something ready to start working with other bloggers, brands, etc. on this blog. I don’t see myself putting the whole thing together, but I at least want to get it started.

What are your goals for April? Are you focusing on a certain social media platform, too?
