I have to admit that planning Monday’s post on my fake wish list was a lot more fun than it probably should have been. For that reason, I’ve decided to go ahead and post another with all of the things that I would be more likely to find underneath the tree this year. (Plus, this is the best way to hint hint about what I’d love to receive from my loved ones since they all follow the blog!)
Without further ado, here is my Christmas wish list after much more reasonable thinking. It’s complete with links for the rest of you nerdy, literature-loving, learning-to-ask-for-practical-things twenty-somethings!
Kindle Paperwhite
Ever since I found out that tons of public libraries give members the ability to download eBooks for free, I’ve been itching for an eReader. This one is a little less spiffy than the Kindle Fire on Monday’s list, but I think it would be perfect for me!
Fossil Marlow Multifunction Wallet in Pewter
I have a confession to make. My current wallet was purchased at the beginning of freshman year, it is frayed on all four edges, and there are paint streaks across the back of it. (read: I need a new wallet.)
Pride and Prejudice Book Scarf
I first stumbled upon these adorably nerdy scarves from Kiersten, and I have been obsessed ever since! It took a while to decide between this one and the Alice in Wonderland scarf (it had pictures!), but I finally went with my gut, which said Eliza+Darcy 4ever. Plus I love to support Etsy shops whenever possible, and storiarts appeals to all of my English major sensibilities.
The Sims 4
I told myself that I wasn’t going to get sucked into the world of the Sims again… but who am I kidding? I became obsessed with the Sims 2, loved the Sims 3, and I can’t imagine I would feel anything less for the Sims 4. Do I have time to work by day and build neighborhoods by night? I guess I’ll find out.
Glider Gloves Urban Style Touchscreen Gloves in Black
I used to think gloves like this were silly. Then I moved further north and realized that I was the silly one. These gloves would make my morning bus stop moments. And my afternoons at the bus stop. And all the cold mornings driving to the bus stop when the steering wheel is too cold to use without gloves. And any other time when my frozen fingertips win out over my desire to use my smartphone.
Literature Nalgene Bottle
One of my English major friends in college carried this water bottle to class with her every day, and I was insanely jealous. Now that I’ve graduated, I feel like I can finally get it without feeling like a total copycat! The back side is even better, showing authors’ names next to the different levels of water. Plus this will be good for my goal of staying better hydrated. A definite win-win.
Are these more within the realm of your Christmas wishes? Or do you expect to find presents of a different variety under your tree this year? And to anyone who owns any of these items, I’d appreciate some honest feedback!
