Let’s be honest, I’m really just writing this 2020 travelogue for consistency. I’ve done a travel recap post for the last four years to remember all the places I’ve visited and things I’ve experienced. Plus it’s a great way for you to find where to eat, drink, and explore! You can check out my past travelogues here: 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.
So, while I only went on two trips before the world shut down in March, it felt important that I share them. For posterity’s sake, at the very least. Buckle up because this one will be quick!
Orlando, Florida
My one work trip of the year was to Orlando for meetings with our broadcast partner. We had a fun group of people go, which makes all the difference, and we got to stay in a super swanky new resort addition.
As someone who hasn’t been back to Disney World since her bachelorette party, I can say that it was enough just to be onsite briefly (even if there was no drinking around the world this time)!
EAT: Flying Fish | I always love to visit the Boardwalk when I’m at Disney World, and the atmosphere at this upscale seafood spot was perfect. We wrapped up our night with a walk around the Boardwalk, and it just doesn’t get better than that.
STAY: Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort | We stayed in the newly renovated tower portion of this resort, and it more than lived up to Disney standards.
Atlanta, Georgia
Spencer and I traveled to Atlanta to celebrate the engagement of two of our friends just before everything shut down in March. As in, I found out I’d be working from home (for what was then supposed to be three weeks) when we were on the road.
It was a lovely time with friends and family, but I can’t say I have any recommendations specifically from this weekend getaway. I’d recommend my 2019 travelogue for food recommendations and 2016 for a fun spot to visit.
Were you able to go anywhere fun in 2020 before everything (rightfully) shut down?
P.S. If you’re looking for full itineraries instead of these little travelogue snippets, you can find them all here!
