Before I get into today’s post, thank you all so much for the wedding well wishes! The weekend was absolutely amazing, and I could not ask for better family and friends or a more wonderful new husband! But you can read all about it in this Friday’s Something Blue post. In the meantime…
This Christmas will be a singular experience for me in many ways.
- I won’t be spending it with my family in Vermont.
- Spencer and I will be cutting the festivities short to hop a plane for our honeymoon.
- I don’t expect many presents because most of our and our families’ money went into paying for the wedding.
While I’m more than fine with trading presents for my dream wedding (you know, the one that happened two days ago!? The one you can read all about once I wrap my mind around it enough to write a worthy recap?), I thought it would be fun to come up with a “fake” wishlist of sorts. So here’s what I would ask Santa Claus to bring me for Christmas if silly things like budgets and student loans didn’t exist.
MICHAEL Michael Kors Fulton Large Crossbody in Navy
Who doesn’t love Michael Kors? And I’ve been looking for a good crossbody bag all season!
kate spade new york “Gramercy” Rose Gold-Tone Watch
First of all, I’m a sucker for all things rose gold. Plus I love the fun pops of hot pink with the different watch hands.
Nikon D3200 Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm and 55-200mm Zoom Lenses Bundle
While I love the ease of taking pictures with my phone, I am so ready to have a more reliable camera that I can use to really get into the nitty-gritty of photography. I’m sure you guys would appreciate it, too.
Nespresso Citiz Espresso Maker with Aeroccino Plus Milk Frother in Titan
Maybe with a fancy schmancy coffee maker like this one, I could really get my French roast on. Or at least I could branch out a bit from hazelnut K-Cups and French Vanilla creamer!
Kindle Fire HDX 7″
My daily bus commutes have put me in the market for an eReader. I’ve never been the biggest fan of electronic reading, but I simply can’t keep reading the classics off the tiny screen of my iPhone.
Are any of these on your dream wishlist? Or are you a lucky duck who’s looking for one of these in your stocking this year? Leave a comment below with the items on your fake gift list! A little wishful thinking never hurt anyone, right?
