Whoa, where has the year gone? I feel like it was just yesterday that we were watching fireworks and thinking about all the time we’d have to do all the things in 2016. Sometimes it seems like I’ve let the year pass without accomplishing many of the things I wanted to, so I’ve decided to do something about it (in addition to kicking myself and wallowing).
When I first rebranded as An Aspiring Heroine, I got really serious about growing as a blogger, and with that came being more intentional about setting goals and evaluating myself at the end of each month. Now that I’m becoming more serious about calling myself a writer, I want to start the same habit for my writing life, and what better time than during National Novel Writing Month!
November Goals: Writing
- Win NaNoWriMo this year (by writing 50,000 in 30 days)
And since that’s a pretty lofty goal on its own, I’m adding two NaNo-related “life” goals.
November Goals: Life
- Exercise consistently throughout NaNo
- Keep a close eye on my caffeine intake during NaNo
I’ll be back at the beginning of December to see how I did and make some new goals for the end of 2016, but in the meantime, do you make goals for your own writing life?
